Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the sale of cakes and services (“Services”) provided by Mums Cakes London Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) to you (“you,” “your,” or “customer”). By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

  • All content on this website, including images and designs, is protected by copyright laws and is owned by Mum’s Cakes London Ltd.
  • Reproduction, editing, or distribution of any content without prior written consent is prohibited.
  • If you wish to use our images for any purpose, please contact us for permission.
  • Prices are based on the exact size, design, and details of your cake as confirmed in your email / WhatsApp correspondence.
  • All cakes are crafted with top-quality fresh ingredients and the highest standard of skilled artistry.
  • Full payment must be made prior to the collection or delivery of your cake.
  • Quotes provided via our automated online quoting system through our website are valid for 48hrs from the date of issue or until a deposit is received, whichever comes first.
  • Once a deposit is paid, the quote and agreed design details become binding, subject to our discretion for minor amendments (see Deposits).
  • We collect advance payments for all our theme, non-theme cakes and cupcakes.
  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order for wedding cakes. The remaining balance must be paid no later than one week prior to the collection or delivery date.
  • Deposits can be made via bank transfer or our online payment method Stripe, and confirmation of receipt will be provided by email.
  • Changes to Orders: Once a deposit or order amount has been paid, no major changes to the agreed design can be made. Minor changes may be requested up to two weeks prior to the collection/delivery date, subject to approval.
  • Until the order amount is received, your order is not confirmed and will not be added to our schedule.

Customer Cancellations: If you need to cancel your order:

  • A full refund will be issued only if cancellation is made 5 working days before the collection/delivery date for non-themed cakes / cupcakes and 7 working days for themed cakes, cupcakes or custom orders.
  • After these time frames, the 50% deposit will be retained.

Mum’s Cakes Cancellations: In rare and unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness or force majeure), we reserve the right to cancel your booking. A full refund of all payments will be provided in such cases.

Cakes must be collected from our premises unless a delivery service has been arranged.

Upon collection, you must inspect the cake to ensure it meets your expectations. Once the cake leaves our premises, we are no longer liable for any damage.

Transporting Cakes:

  • Cakes should be placed on a flat, stable surface in your vehicle, such as the front passenger footwell or flat boot.
  • Avoid placing cakes on seats, as they are unstable and can lead to damage during sudden braking.
  • Ensure the cake is secured during transport to prevent movement.
  • Customers are responsible for thoroughly reviewing and confirming their order details, including spellings, dates, and design specifications.
  • While we strive to bring your vision to life, every cake is handmade, and slight variations may occur to ensure the design remains unique.
  • Exact replication of another cake maker’s work is not guaranteed and taken as a reference purposes only. It may involve minor creative adjustments.
  • While we offer cakes without specific allergens (e.g., gluten, dairy, alcohol, nuts), all cakes are prepared in a kitchen that handles these ingredients.
  • We cannot guarantee the absence of trace allergens. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform guests of potential allergen risks.
  • Cakes should not be refrigerated, as this can cause changes to the texture of the sponge and icing.
  • Store cakes in a cool, dry location in their original box.
  • Cakes are best consumed within 3-4 days of collection or delivery.
  • Cakes are fragile and must be handled with care. We are not liable for any damage that occurs after the cake has been collected or delivered.
  • For large tiered cakes, additional support may be required to ensure stability at the venue.
  • Some cakes include inedible components, such as support dowels, wires, ribbons, and flower picks.
  • These items must be removed before serving. A full list of non-edible elements will be provided at collection or delivery.
  • We cannot be held responsible for delays, damages, or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather, power outages, or other unforeseen events.

We strive to provide high-quality cakes and exceptional service. However, we cannot be held liable for any unforeseen circumstances or events beyond our control.

We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website.
